Extension Request
If you're unable to file your Individual Income Tax Return by the deadline of April 15, it's important to request an extension of time. Please note that while Form 4868 extends the deadline for filing your taxes, it does not extend the time to pay taxes. Failure to pay the amount due by the deadline will result in interest charges and potential penalties.
RP Tax Service offers to electronically file Form 4868 for returning clients at no charge ($25 for non-clients). This will give you an automatic extension of the filing deadline until October 15 (for individuals), helping you avoid a late filing penalty. Forms completed in full and received in our office by April 10th will be filed.
